A Unique Opportunity!
It’s bittersweet news. Our family at Gilded Fern Farm will be moving to Kansas to continue the cheesemaking operation … on 147 acres! So for someone, the NH home and creamery offers a unique opportunity to take the reins and continue offering our local community delicious artisan cheeses.

Often people that get into cheesemaking know nothing about cheesemaking … hard to believe but true. They know what they want to do and they find people to help them do it. Our creamery is established and our recipes are proven. We can help a budding cheesemaker learn all that they need to be successful.
Some of the features of the home and creamery include:
-antique appearance for the home (built in 2004)
-high-end appliances (Wolf double ovens; Thermador range)
-wide trim paneling for the interior; cherry floors
-elegant inlaw apartment above the garage
-3 1/2 acres
-barn with hayloft (currently being used for sheep)
-cleared area for permaculture gardening
-below ground cheese cave (within the home)
-walk-in cooler for aging soft cheeses
-50-gallon bulk tank for milk
-onsite self-serve farmstore
Cow’s milk for cheesemaking is obtained from the Bohanon Farm, less than a mile from the creamery and goat’s milk from a farm in Lebanon, NH. The barn is licensed as a Grade A sheep dairy and a small flock could continue to be milked in the parlor.
