Gilded Fern Classes
Cheese making seems to have universal appeal. People that don’t even cook or bake but enjoy great food, seem to enjoy learning about the process behind the food they love to eat. For those that love to cook/bake and appreciate the science behind it, learning how cheese is made can be a unique and rewarding experience. It may even lead to other fermentation crafts such as beer and bread making. Many cheese makers dabble in other areas of fermentation.
We use commercial equipment during our classes to process large quantities of milk while at the same time process 1-2 gallons stove top so that participants can take what they have learned home with them to continue cheese making.
